Do I need to make an appointment?

Advance reservations are required for the following:
・First contact lens prescription (junior high school students and above)
・Prism eyeglass prescription
・Examination and prescription for strabismus and amblyopia

You can also make an appointment for the following tests.
・Visual field test
・Color vision test

We give priority to those who make an appointment.
We may not be able to see you on the day without an appointment, so we would appreciate it if you could make an appointment by phone.

No appointment is required for any other consultations.
If you come in during opening hours, we will see you in order of reception.

What should I do if I want to buy contact lenses?

[For those who already wear contact lenses]
We will only give you a prescription for lenses that we carry at our clinic after examining you, so please purchase them online or at a contact lens retailer.

[For those who want to get a contact lens prescription for the first time]
Because you will need to practice wearing the lenses before getting a prescription for the first time, you will need to make a reservation in advance. Practice may take some time, so please make your reservation with plenty of time. Please note that this is only available to those who are junior high school students and above.

Notes on refunds
If you would like a refund at a later date, please pay in cash.
Refunds can be made at our clinic if they are made within the same month.
Please note that if the refund go into the next month, you will need to complete the necessary procedures at your ward office, insurance office, etc.
Example:
If you wish to receive a refund during April (for medical treatment in April) → Refunds can be made at the clinic.
If you wish to receive a refund after May (for medical treatment in April) → You will need to complete the necessary procedures at your ward office, insurance office, etc.

What should I do if I need to see a doctor suddenly and I don’t have my health insurance card or My Number card?

You can still visit our clinic even if you don’t have your health insurance card or My Number card. However, please note the following points.

  • About payment on the day
    If you cannot present (your card), you will be responsible for the full amount. Please pay in cash.
  • About refunds
    If we are able to show your My Number card (My Number health insurance card) or health insurance card at a later date, we will refund the difference in the amount if it is within the same month.
    If you would like a refund, please pay in cash.
    Please note that if the payment spans multiple months, you will need to go through the procedures at public institutions such as the ward office or each health insurance office.
  • If you are a traveler from overseas and do not require a refund
    If you are a traveler from overseas and do not wish to receive a refund, you can also use credit cards or cashless payment.

How do I get a refund if I forgot my My Number card (My Number health insurance card) or health insurance card and had to pay out of pocket?

Please bring your My Number card (My Number health insurance card) and health insurance card along with the receipt within the month of your consultation.
Refunds will not be possible if you are missing your My Number card (My Number health insurance card), health insurance card, or receipt.
Furthermore, we cannot provide refunds in the following month.
Refunds will be made at your respective insurance office.
In this case, it appears that it may take 2 to 3 months for the refund to be made.
